The exchange began on 29 April 2015. 18 pupils, together with Miss Lehmacher and Mister Frenzel, flew to Dunfermline, a town near Edinburgh. After we had landed we went to Woodmill High School where the pupils showed us the school and ...

... we first met our penpals. On the next day we went to school between 9am and 1pm and then we explored Dunfermline. On Friday we made a boat trip in South Queensferry, where we could see some islands and also some seals. In the evening, we watched Woodmill High School’s wonderful musical theatre group perform songs from many different musicals. We went to Saint Andrews on Saturday and saw the little coffee shop where William and Kate first met. After that we went to the beach where we took a lot of photos. Then we went downtown to eat fish & chips and to go shopping. In the evening some of us met to watch the movie `The DUFF´ in the cinema. On Sunday the families where we were staying to planned something for each penpal, but a few of the group went on a walk along Loch Leven and through a forest. We went to Edinburgh together with our penpals on Monday. We did a city quiz of the Old Town and a ghost tour through the Edinburgh Underground. Of course, we went shopping on Princes Street, too. In the evening the Scottish pupils and teachers had organised a ´Scottish-Evening´ where we had to dance typically Scottish dances and we could also try Haggis. On the next day some of us went to school again with the penpals while another group drove to Stirling to see the castle there. In the evening we met again at the restaurant ´Toni Macaroni´ and had our farewell dinner with the exchange partners. Unfortunately the next day was the last one: We went to school for a final time and left at 12:15. We were very sad to leave our new Scottish friends and there were a lot of tears. We had a really good flight with no complications and we arrived the Frankfurt airport at 20:45 where we were happy to see our family again.
